Animal cruelty is a widely discussed issue in the makeup industry. It is estimated that approximately 100,000 to 200,000 animals suffer and die due to cosmetic testing each year. These animals endure forceful methods including ingesting chemicals through their eyes and throats for our cosmetic benefit. As a young animal activist, I feel inclined to speak up for the animals who lack a voice of their own. This Instagram campaign serves as a drop in the bucket of a larger issue that still happens today.

 

No animals were harmed in the making of this movement.
